Volunteering at the Capital Zoo

We work every day at the Zoo to provide safe and pleasant conditions for the animals living here and to provide an unforgettable experience for the visitors. Our colleagues have also been assisted in this work for many, many years by volunteers who are enthusiastic about the work of the Zoo in their spare time. Surely you have already met them in the visitor areas of the animal houses, in the garden, or at our events. If you feel like being a part of the everyday life of the Zoo and would love to do so, we are waiting for you among our volunteers in a variety of roles. No, you will definitely not caress a tiger, but you can help animal caretakers clean and inform visitors in the Butterfly Garden, the Madagascar House, the Magic Mountain, and many other animal houses, participate in the work of gardeners, or take on other tasks.

Foundation for Africa

The Foundation for Africa operates in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania and Ethiopia. As a volunteer, you can join the work of our institutions (Kinshasa: La Providence Orphanage, College Othniel School, Namnga: Maasai Academy and Orphanage).

Shelter Foundation

We welcome anyone on our volunteer team – regardless of age or education - who feels they can identify with our goals, mission, and are happy to dedicate their free time to help our work, our clients: disadvantaged families, children, the homeless. If you feel like you’re doing something really good, you want to be an active part of the positive change, and we’re waiting for our volunteer team. You can join our ongoing programs, but we will also help you implement independent volunteer activities. If you use your expertise as a volunteer, we will also provide opportunities for professional volunteering. In addition to individual volunteering, we also provide opportunities for group volunteering –organisations, groups, and school classes. We also work with several grammar schools, the students of which can also work with us within the framework of the fifty-hour community service. In addition, we are a practical place for ELTE pedagogical students who participate in our volunteer program within the framework of their community pedagogical practice. In addition, many companies choose us as the location of CSR activities. We are open to cooperation with other organisations and educational institutions.
