Solidarity project – community development and participation

Young people in a rural area of Hungary decided to renovate an old library in order to create a community space that is open and free for everyone. Young people from disadvantaged backgrounds were involved in the project where they learned new skills that may help them to find future employment. Local entrepreneurs voluntarily offered help and guidance to young participants. As a result, Perkata has now a cosy community space where young people can come together.
