An nuashonrú is déanaí an An Aoine, 25/11/2022
What is the European Pool of Young Journalists? Interested in what it means to be European for Polish? How is the current acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community in Poland? Find out all this and much more in the eleventh episode of the Be Europe show.
"They (you) have to be confident and maybe a bit selfish but in a good way. We are really scared about the opinion of others, I was really scared too, and I think it was one of the biggest mistakes in my life. When I was in highschool I did literally nothing, I was just a student, I didn't go abroad, I didn’t take part in such projects, etc. because I was scared. (...) We don’t have to be scared, we just have to be confident, believe and have a lot of dreams".
Kacper Król is a 24 year old Polish, who just finished studying his bachelor's degree at the university. He is a member of the European Pool of Young Journalists, and he is also involved with a youth organisation based in Lublin, Poland.
In the show Kacper told us about his experiences abroad, taking part in an ESC project and several Erasmus+ exchanges. He explained to us how he found out about these opportunities and how he got to participate in them. But that’s not all, during the programme we also talked about the equality policy and opportunities for young people from smaller towns, the LGBTQ+ community, and the fact that Lublin will be the European Youth Capital in 2023.
