New episode of Be Europe, what do you know about Switzerland?

Última atualização sexta-feira, 01/07/2022

How much life changing can be an EVS experience? What is the current situation of the entertainment and cultural sector? What does it mean to be European for Swiss young people? Learn about this topic and more in the seventh episode of the Be Europe podcast.

“There are so many things that are just not fair to young people, that are just thrown to them and I think it is important for us to make sure they get what we didn’t get”.

The guest of this new episode was Maya Fornasier, a young swiss passionate about travelling and learning new languages. She did a bilingual school and travelled with interrail on her own. After highschool, she didn't know what she wanted to do, she felt she didn't want to start studying, so she decided to participate in an EVS project. And this is how she ended up volunteering in a youth center where she organised different activities, in Riga.

During the episode, Maya shared with us her amazing experience. She explained to us how this experience helped her to get to know herself better and also helped her to see in which professional direction she wanted to go, as this experience allowed her to experiment and see what she really liked to do. As Maya is currently studying and doing an apprenticeship as an entertainment technician in a theatre, we took the chance to ask her about the current situation of this sector in Europe, and she had some really interesting things to say about it.
