Τελευταία ενημέρωση Παρασκευή, 28/08/2026

The President’s Youth Advisory Board will meet for the second time in Brussels to advise European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on future youth policy priorities.

The second meeting of the President’s Youth Advisory Board will take place on 22 July 2026 in Brussels. The meeting will bring together 33 young representatives from the National Youth Councils and the European Youth Forum, including 8 observers from candidate countries and potential candidate for EU accession, to discuss future EU youth policy priorities with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. Established in 2025 under President von der Leyen’s Political Guidelines for 2024-2029, the Board brings youth voices to the highest levels of EU policymaking and strengthens democratic youth engagement, empowering young people to shape the future of the Union.

At the meeting, the Board will advise on future youth policy priorities beyond 2027. The discussion will contribute to the Commission’s wider effort to identify the issues that matter most to young Europeans as it prepares the new EU Youth Strategy. The Commission has run several other youth consultations, including through Youth Policy Dialogues and applied the Commission Youth Check, which aim to increase young people’s input in EU policymaking and ensure that new policies better reflect young people’s concerns and expectations.

The Board first met in December 2025 to provide advice on the EU’s approach to social media use for children and young people. The meeting was followed by a policy paper which informed the work of the special panel of experts that advised President von der Leyen on child safety online.
