Ready for hassle-free travelling this summer?

Summer is here – and so is the latest edition of the European Commission’s popular Travelling in Europe publication! Packed full of tips and useful information it has everything travellers need for a hassle-free holiday.

From local currencies and required documents to passenger rights, the leaflet is very compact to have at hand in the luggage. The big news for travellers this year is that Bulgaria and Romania have become the newest members of the Schengen area – the world’s largest passport-free travel zone. 

Travellers visiting Austria, Estonia or Norway can check out this year’s European Capitals of Culture. 

Meanwhile, those heading to Ireland or Italy, might want to look up the 2024 European Capital of Smart Tourism (Dublin) and the European Green Pioneer of Smart Tourism (Grossetto). We are happy to share the 2024 edition now available in several digital formats (PDF, HTML) and in print!
