When you apply, you can use your current passport, identity card (ID) or residence card, even if it has expired. However, should you be awarded a travel pass and discount card, you will need to be in possession of a valid ID document (passport, national ID or residence card) when completing the booking form to request your travel pass as an ID verification process has been put in place by the contractor. Also, you will need a valid ID document when travelling. You do not have to do anything if your ID document is renewed in between the ID verification process and your actual travel.
