Opis
We teach people (children, youth, adults) to see the world in a wider picture – and a foreigner volunteer can contribute to this. Our main goal of volunteer’s engagement is to benefit from the presence of an international volunteer which should encourage the motivation of people to learn languages and learn more about other countries. Main contribution of the volunteer will then be his/her active participation in formal and nonformal activities. At this moment we look for volunteer who would spend part of the week in the schools - joining the school activities, english classes, afternoon club etc. Part of the time would be to help with the NGO administration, organise events for the community, help with photo gallery, social media, dissemination, publicity etc. He/she will also be encouraged to run his/her own workshop,. according to his/her interest. During summer holidays, volunteers can help with summer camps and and preparation of the new school year.
Zakwaterowanie, wyżywienie i transport
The volunteer will have a bedroom in a house in town of Tišnov. This house will be shared with other volunteers, together they will use the kitchen and bathroom. Good internet connection is provided. The volunteer will arrange meal in the morning, in the evening and during weekends. Lunch on week days can be served in a school canteen, if interested. There are many shops in Tišnov. Since Tišnov is a small town, it is easy to pass in on foot. If the volunteer shows interest, a bicycle can be provided. There is good train connection to the city of Brno.
Szkolenie w trakcie działania
The volunteer will be offered Czech lessons with an experienced lector, with learning about czech culture. he/she can join all the training connected to the ESC programme. Also if they are interested, they can visit trainings, short time courses and seminars with other members of the NGO. During the stay in the NGO he/she will improve communication, learning and language skills, experience many different games and learning methods, may be also innovative educational approaches (Montessori, Democratic). Volunteers are invited to all community events such as the ball, sport meetings, trips etc.
Profil uczestnika
The volunteer can be anyone who is interested in working in an NGO with children, youth, and adults (language lessons, outdoor physical activities in all seasons, workshops, clubs) and is flexible and adaptive. We value organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and ideally some experience with managing social media or supporting events. Open-mindedness, playfulness, and a sense of humour are appreciated, as well as a basic level of spoken English. No specific education is required, but we prefer someone who can stay for a longer period, at least 6 months.
