Description
For our cultural venue we are mainly looking for a specific EVS volunteer like photographer, technician etc, for this project we are making a complete open call. This position will be perfect for someone who is interested in working in the cultural field and has the attitude not to work mainly on one thing but likes helping out where ever needed. During 1 year helping and working in a diversity of small parts of the organisation the volunteer will learn about the bigger picture of our cultural venue. Learning by doing. Examples of tasks where the volunteer can be working on: PR, helping with preparation of events, garden work..... The activities depends on mutual discussion and on the individual preferences, background and profile of the volunteer. He/she can develop his own activity which makes sense and fits with our programme (for example workshop). We are looking for a person who will actively look for new tasks and activities if he will be idle.
Konaklama, yemek ve yol ayarlamaları
Besides you, we have 4 other EVS volunteers, working together and separately on different parts of the organization, venue, events and tasks. Our volunteers are accomodated in fully equiped rented flat(s) with separate rooms, in a walking distance from the venue. Žilina is a medium town with 85-thousand people, located not far from mountains. This town is suitable for walking/biking, mass transportation not needed. Each volunteer gets 270 eur monthly for food and pocket money. They can cook at their flat, the kitchen is fully equipped. The travelling costs are fully covered.
Training during the activity
We share our knowledge within all the team. We constantly teach each other and we permanently learn from each other. Same with EVS volunteers, we try to share our skills and experience with them. In the starting period, the volunteers are introduced into the work of every crew member, so they can understand who does what and how. This enables volunteers to decide what they want to focus on, what activity and skill they want to develop or grow. With each EVS, it's a different story. It depends on the individual interests. Some volunteers work with technicians, some at the bar, others in gallery
