Voluntary activity project in Rietavas open youth center

The ideas of the project inspired by multifaceted benefits, positive changes that were brought by experience gained by various organizations in the international volunteering field. Volunteering facilitates the use of non-formal education ideas in practical activities and encourages its self-education. The project invites everyone to take an enthusiastic step towards professional and human experience for making a better future and to discover their potential of creating a better worldview for a young person. "Tell me who your friends are, and I will tell you who you are" Young people are very influenced by the people who surround them, how they impact them. New people in an organization always brings innovative ideas, knowledge, experience for youth in a small town as Rietavas helps to discover the variety of different beliefs and attitudes and interest in active life. Διαμονή, διατροφή και έξοδα μετακίνησης

In a Voluntary Activity project, the Commission covers costs like accommodation and travel. All volunteers are insured by the Commission against sickness. The volunteer is going to be paid as well pocket money and food money each month. He/She will live in a local residence.

Κατάρτιση κατά τη δραστηριότητα

Before coming he/she will have the pre-departure session in this country and when come to Lithuania will have an on-arrival and mid-term training. Training will be about volunteering experience and Youthpass certificate. In Rietavas open youth center she/he can learn about Lithuanian culture and traditions, youth, its problems, daily life and chalenges, experience open youth work, know how to organize and implement activities for youth people, have a clearer idea of what they want to do in the future and find themselves in various aspects.

Προφίλ συμμετέχοντος

Volunteers aged 18-30 years, open-minded, eager to learn and motivated to work on the proposed project activities. The volunteers should be motivated to work on cultural activities, work with people, especially with youth in open youth space in a non-formal education context. They should like to develop and improve their skills and abilities, be open for experiments, have some hobbies or interests and like to share them when organizing activities, discussions, and projects for the community.
