Volunteering with us offers you excellent opportunities to get to know the European Youth Education Center Magdeburg (EJBM), the exciting field of international youth work and of course Germany. You can improve your language skills, develop new competences and gain valuable experience for your future career and education. We work with and for young people (about 14 to 30 years) - aiming to provide them with high-quality offers for personal, professional and vocational education and to promote intercultural exchange in Saxony-Anhalt (our federal state). This will be the focus of your volunteering service, especially in direct cooperation with youth groups and short-term volunteers, for example in youth exchanges in our house or our work with schools. In addition, we also offer occasional educational projects for children and people in our district. The main tasks are: supporting us during youth exchanges, training courses, and short-term volunteering projects.
Διαμονή, διατροφή και έξοδα μετακίνησης
Our long-term volunteers live in their own apartment in Magdeburg. There you will have your own room; bathroom and kitchen are shared. Wi-Fi is included. At the beginning of each month you will receive your food allowance and pocket money. The exact amounts are determined by the responsible National Agency. During workshops, trainings and seminars you will receive full meals (3 times per day), for these days there will be no food allowance. Costs for travel to and from the workshop will be reimbursed.
Κατάρτιση κατά τη δραστηριότητα
During your volunteer service you will have two mandatory seminars: An On-Arrival Training and a Mid-Term Seminar. In addition, you will meet once a month with all international volunteers in Magdeburg to exchange ideas and organize joint activities. There will also be the possibility to participate in other seminars and workshops. However, it is important that they do not overlap with your main tasks and activities.
