Montessori Forest Kindergarten Ledňáček (“the Kingfisher”) is a new outdoor nursery school, starting its activity from September 2021 in Předklášteří, a city near Tišnov (it´s 2,5 km from Tišnov) and Brno (25 km). The founder of the kindergarten is the association Hnízdo, who is founded also 3 regular schools (ZaHRAda, Colibri and Jasan). Hnízdo is a community that wants to support new ways in formal and nonformal education for all generations. The content, character and the methods of education are influenced by children, their parents and other members of the community, but the main ways can be defined as Democratic and Montessori methods. It´s not only about education – we organize and participate in many cultural activities, summer camps, social and ecological events, we do sports together, we sing and dance together and we travel together. The volunteer is invited to be a part of our community. We collaborate with forest kindergartens in the area, that inspire us too.
Διαμονή, διατροφή και έξοδα μετακίνησης
Accommodation will be provided in a flat or house in Tišnov. The volunteer will have a (shared) room with a standard equipment including internet connection. Kitchen, bathroom and other parts of the flat will be shared with other volunteer from Hnízdo. We will pay all the costs connected to the accommodation. The volunteers will have the possibility of lunch in the kindergarten. They will have to arrange their meals in the mornings, evenings and during the weekends. There are many shops and local market. Tišnov is small town, it is possible to walk, to use local transport or bike.
Κατάρτιση κατά τη δραστηριότητα
Volunteer will participate in training organized by the Czech National Agency - on-arrival and mid-term training. He/she will also have the opportunity of a course of the Czech/English language during the whole project. The volunteer will be a part of the team, so he/she will have the possibility of participation in all the meetings and teambuildings of the team, he/she can visit trainings, short time courses and seminars related to the work. The volunteer will learn many things about the whole project, about the realization and theoretical issues concerning Montessori and forest education.
Προφίλ συμμετέχοντος
We are looking for a volunteer who wants to do a meaningful work with children, who wants to know more about Maria´s Montessori educational method, who loves nature and knows how to enjoy outdoors with children during all seasons (good physical condition needed). We need someone who is responsible, independent, patient and also open-minded, creative (in every situation) and a team-player.
