The volunteer will be part of the team of the « Fédération des Maisons des Jeunes et de la Culture en Ile-de-France », a network of 72 autonomous local MJCs associations located in Ile-de-France region. MJC means « Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture » that can be literally translated as « Youth and Cultural House ». Every MJC is a place in which everybody is welcome. We love to think that no matter who you are, where you come from, how old you are, you can always walk through the door of a MJC and find someone to have a chat with, take a coffee, read a comic, but also learn to dance, help children to make their homework, do some gardening, attend a play, debate about societal issues and many other things. In tandem with with a French volunteer, the European volunteer will: • Participating in animation of training sessions for French volunteers • Animation and dissemination of two interactive media and information education exhibits • Promoting ESC and European mobility
Zakwaterowanie, wyżywienie i transport
To be defined. Two options: youth accommodation centre or flatshare with other youngsters. The volunteer will receive money to buy his/her own food. He/she could travel by metro, bus or train for free in Paris region.
Szkolenie w trakcie działania
The volunteers will regularly meet other volunteers hosted by MJCs located in Ile-de-France region. These meetings will allow the volunteers to sharing experiences, reinforce linguistic and social skills and develop a common project in a group dynamics.
Profil uczestnika
We’re looking for an open-minded, team-working and talkative person, at ease with youngsters, interested in societal issues (fake-news, racism, European values, …) with good notions of French (B1).
