Socio - educational project activities (12 months in Milan)

The candidate will be involved in the project for 12 months since july/august 2023 to july/august 2024 The participant will activate for 30h/week choosing between: INCLUSION OF PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS (helping adult with Down Sindroms in socializing and and being more indipendent); HELP TO YOUTH WITH FEWER OPPORTUNITIES (afterschool and inclusion activities for young students, organizing community events and other social activities, workshops, ...). The participant will also participate in BIR’s activities such as: trainings, backoffice, event organization, summer camps, trekking, activities in juvenile jail, ... Every participant will follow his/her specific path based on personal and professional goal.
Διαμονή, διατροφή και έξοδα μετακίνησης
The participants in this project will receive: roundtrip Ticket from your country of residence to Milan, accomodation in a shared room and apartment with the other participants, food Money which need to be proved by bills, pocket Money which are used freely by the participant, Health Insurance provided by the ESC program, Annual subscription to public transport, Italian Language Course through the E+ platform and IRL with a teacher, Mentor and Tutor to provide support for the participant and help him/her to easily adapt into his/her new environment.
Κατάρτιση κατά τη δραστηριότητα
The participants will start with a language course (online and IRL) and specific training, then they will be included in the project activities. During the project, they will participate in On Arrival Training and Mid-Term Evaluation provided by National Agency. They will also work periodically with the project coordinator, both individually and as a working group, for meetings to monitor their well-being and inclusion in the project, activities, team work, living together and for the drafting of the final Youthpass.
Προφίλ συμμετέχοντος
Participants must be between 18-30years old at the moment of application. No special skills are required but interest and willingness to get involved in the proposed service and volunteering activities, to live with others volunteers, to work in team, to fit into the context and organization. The project is structured to welcome young people with fewer opportunities. Before the start of the project, an agreement will be signed by the participant and the organization, for the sharing of methodologies and principles for carrying out the ESC project.
