Centro Comunitário Paróquia de Carcavelos came up to promote the local answers that meet the social needs of the community. It launched projects & services for kids, young people, elderly people, homeless people & families in need. The social answers have grown, & w/ them also the number of professionals, collaborators & vols. It is an open space shared by the community. Volunteerism is an active way of civic participation, of community involvement in solving of- their own social problems. It integrates vols in different services that go to social support to logistic & administrative.
Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
ProAtlântico will provide €5 (every day) to cover costs of food and extra expenses during non-working time, and Pocket money €6 (every day) . During working time the receiving organization provides suitable meal in the organization’s facilities, which is based on a Mediterranean diet. ProAtlântico provides accommodation in an apartment, residence in multiple bedroom with fully equipped kitchen, toilet and living room - electricity, water, gas and Internet are covered by the project. The volunteers will have towels and bed clothes. A monthly local transport allowance is provided.

Perfil do participante
In general, the profile of the volunteers must be very human, self-motivated, creative, open minded, tolerant with self-initiative, willing to take on new challenges, very flexible and ready to help in different tasks, with good adaption to different realities and ready to live with different conditions and environments they are used to in their original country.
