Plunge’s open youth center is a public institution established, It is specialized in youthwork and operates in fields of non-formal education and intercultural learning. It is a place where young people from 14 until 29 years old always find space for their ideas, dreams, and free-time activities. It is a safe place where all young people can be themselves. The organization's primary goal is: - to involve young people (14-29 years old) in various educational, cultural, and cognitive activities in order to improve young people's communication, social and interpersonal skills; - encourage young people to take part in different activities that meet their needs and motivate young people to develop their personal skills to the full; - to motivate young people who experience social exclusion or are fewer opportunities to participate in organized activities. Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
The living place will be in the Plunge in the guest house or apartment. In the living place, volunteers will live in private separate rooms but have to share with others volunteers the bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, and dining room. A project will cover costs like accommodation, food, travel, and living expenses of the volunteer. Volunteers are insured by Henner. The volunteer is going to be paid pocket and food money each month to buy necessary things.
Formação durante a atividade
Before coming volunteers will have the pre-departure session in this country and when come to Lithuania will have an on-arrival and mid-term training. Training will be about volunteering experience and Youthpass certificate. In Hosting organization volunteers can learn about Lithuanian culture and traditions, know how to organize and implement activities for kids and young people, have a clearer idea of what they want to do in the future, and realize volunteer in different activities.
Perfil do participante
We generally look for volunteers who are an open mind, creative, curious, enthusiastic, communicative, patient, flexible, knowledgeable, and willing to work with youngsters. Main Selection criteria: 18-30 years old; Interested and motivated in working with youngsters from 14 until 29 years old; Interested in intercultural learning (are open to new cultures and are willing to learn from their participation); Participate in activities and classes organized by the organization team; Patient and responsible; Basics in English leagues; Not participated in long-term volunteering before.
