Description

The volunteer will manage groups of children based on their interests: sports, music, theater, games. Volunteer`s daily activities will be always followed by other teachers what means that he/she will not be left alone. The volunteer will participate in different activities of kindergarten: annual events (Christmas, New year, Easter and others), sports meets and musical events, theatrical actions, walks with children and studying of the nature. Under observation of the mentor he or she will be able to organize nature classes, for example, various experiments with water, planting various plants. The volunteer will be actively involved in operation with children, e.g. helping the music teacher, physical culture teacher. In some days the volunteer will help during actions of applied art and craft. A lot depends on the Volunteer’s skills and wish. We also encourage the volunteer to initiate and implement own ideas. We will provide our full support for it.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteer will be accommodated in rented and appropriately furnished flat with kitchen, bathroom and toilet. Food allowance will be given to the volunteer monthly. The volunteer will cook by themselves. The volunteer will also have a choice to buy lunch in the kindergarten. Volunteers will walk or travel by bus to work. If a volunteer decide to use public transport for going to the RO, they will get monthly transportation money.

Training during the activity

- On-arrival training course and mid-term evaluation meeting organized by Estonian National Agency; - "Check-in" training course upon arrival and ESC common days once in a month organized by coordinating organisation VitaTiim NGO for all volunteers doing their services in Narva and Kohtla-Järve.

Participant profile

We expect a volunteer who love children and have interest to work with them - this is one of the most important criteria. Moreover we are looking for friendly, open for communication and exchange of experience, hard-working young person with sense of initiative or wish to develop it. Minimum age required for a volunteer is 18, because they will be working with little children.
