Kindergarten„Regenbogenhaus“ in Grünheide/near Berlin

Opis

The concept of the "Regenbogenhaus" kindergarten is based on the Christian belief. The volunteer does not have to be Christian. He/she should be open- minded towards Christian values. "Regenbogenhaus" has the following conceptual focal points: English as the language of encounter, musical education, encountering the Christian faith and healthy nutrition, . In the work with the children, great emphasis is placed on creativity, play, projects and outdoor activities. The playground and the "green play areas" outside offer good opportunities for these activities. Regular excursions to the forest are also on the programme. The kindergarten is attended by about 60 children aged 1-6 years. 10 educators work with the children. During their voluntary service, the volunteers are integrated into the care tasks of the day care centre. At the beginning, they also have the opportunity to get to know the individual areas with the staff of the facility and work in all age groups.

Zakwaterowanie, wyżywienie i transport

Accomodation: Room in a shared flat (shared kitchen, own room with bathroom). Food arrangements: The volunteer will receive fee (313 Euro/month). Transport arrangements in Berlin: The volunteer will be reimbursed for the costs of a monthly public transport ticket.

Szkolenie w trakcie działania

There is a mentor who is responsible for answering any questions and supervising the work of the volunteer. The volunteer will participate in an On-Arrival Training and a Mid-Term Seminar. The volunteer will never have to work alone or be responsible for a group of children or young people on his own.

Profil uczestnika

The volunteer should be curious, want to try things out, be open to getting involved and have fun working with children, should be interested in watching children play, can get involved with the world and the ideas of children and want to support children in realizing their ideas,be willing to work in a team, German skills are not necessary but highly welcomed (in any case, be willing to learn the German language). The concept of the kindergarten „Regenbogen“ is based on the Christian belief. The volunteer does not have to be Christian. He/she should be open- minded towards Christian values.
