Alba association' goal is to provide educational and social care to people with disabilities in order for them to become more autonomous and facilitate their inclusion in the local community. Volunteers will provide support to the professionals in the hosting organisation during the activities which will take place in the different residencies of the Associació Alba, offering essential services for individuals requiring high levels of assistance, including elderly people and young individuals with multiple disabilities. Volunteers play a vital role in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of the support provided. We are looking for a volunteer to join us in January for 6 months. Volunteer profile: volunteers support our skilled professionals in the housing and residence care.
Διαμονή, διατροφή και έξοδα μετακίνησης
Accommodation: The volunteers will be accommodated in a residential center located in the town center of Tàrrega, it is the same center where the users of the Associació Alba also live. Every volunteer will have his/her own bedroom and bathroom and will share all other spaces (kitchen, living rom, terace) Food: Volunteers work 5 days/week. Lunch is provided the days that they work. Transport arrangements: our organisation is in charge of booking all the transportation needed from the volunteer destination to Tarrega at their arrival and their departure.
Κατάρτιση κατά τη δραστηριότητα
During the opportunity, volunteer receives a training on the centred person methodology work that we use in Alba organisation to work with people. They also take part in language exchanges to improve their knowledge in Spanish and Catalan. Application procedure: send your CV at europa@aalba.cat
Προφίλ συμμετέχοντος
Volunteers support our skilled professionals in the residential areas. Provide support and accompany individually during the meals, during the outings and leisure activities that people have chosen, in people daily’s tasks of the persons. There is also the option of creating and developing a personal project depending on the interests of each volunteer. This is why we are looking for a flexible, highly motivated, open-minded and energetic person willing to live an incredible experience in the heath care.
