Beschreibung

The AGSA advocates for democratic coexistence & equal social participation, irrespective of origin, religion, language, or other characteristics. Our activities are primarily focused on fostering intercultural openness in Saxony-Anhalt & supporting the development of international connections within our federal state on multiple levels. To strengthen the implementation of green practices and raise awareness of sustainability, we are actively seeking a new volunteer! Project Activities: -Development and implementation of green practices -contributing to our “SDG club” -raising awareness towards sustainability (upcycling workshops etc.). -Assisting long-term projects & organizing intercultural learning activities alongside fellow volunteers -participating in various local projects, such as the language café -Implementation & organization of “ Eurocamp” (an international summer camp) Motivation to learn and communicate in German is welcomed.

Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten

You will share a flat with 2-3 ESC volunteers. Your living arrangement will include a private bedroom, a shared kitchen, and a shared bathroom. Free WI-FI will also be provided. At the beginning of each month, you will receive funds to cover your food expenses. The rate is determined by the National Agency and currently stands at €9.60 per day for food and €6 per day for pocket money. During training Seminars, you will recieve full catering instead of the food money. Local transportation is also covered.

Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit

During your ESC, you will be required to participate in two essential seminars: the On-Arrival Training and the Mid-Term Seminar. Additionally, there will be a monthly meeting where you will gather with all Magdeburg volunteers to discuss the current situation, collaborate on joint activities, or visit other projects. There will also be opportunities to engage in other seminars and workshops, with the condition that they do not conflict with your primary tasks and activities.

Teilnehmerprofil

Very good proficiency in English. strong command of the German language (good or very good). Good proficiency in a further language is advantageous, preferably Russian, Ukrainian or Polish. Keen interest in Sustainable Development Goals and education for sustainable development. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-reliant and creative.
