Beschreibung
Oficinas do Convento is a non-profit organization, working in the areas of culture, art and communication. It has NGO status since 2009 and is a UNESCO Centre since 2010. One of its main activities are developed in Oficina de Cerâmica e da Terra, which is formed by three distinct and complementary spaces: the Ceramic Research Centre, Telheiro da Encosta do Castelo and the Earth Laboratory, where it’s developed: artistic residencies, workshops / training activities, ceramic works and sustainable construction materials (tiles, earth bricks, etc).

Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
Volunteers will be trained to acquire skills to work in a ceramic studio, work with local resources materials; work in design, vernacular architecture, cultural heritage, logistic process, work with hand and power tools. The Portuguese National Agency will also provide 2 trainings during the volunteering period.
Teilnehmerprofil
Participant age age from 18 to 30 years old, with nationality or residence in one of the partner countries from the project Motivated person to participate in: intercultural activities and dialogue; artistic and cultural activities, particularly in the field of vernacular architecture and ceramic products, artistic and cultural heritage education and community activities, develop these skills and competences as a group (teamwork), willing to acquire and develop language skills, especially English and Portuguese; willing to move to Montemor-o-Novo, a small rural city during the vounteer period
