Description

The objective of EVOCA (European Volunteers for Caritas) is to involve young European Volunteers in the field of humanitarian aid, rehabilitation and development. Through this project, young people will have the opportunity to gain professional experience, live a European solidarity outside the EU and develop new social and professional skills by doing. Thanks their engagement, host organizations and local communities will have additional support to strenghten their programmes in the field. CCR is currently seeking dedicated and passionate volunteers to join our team. We are actively involved in transitioning humanitarian and development efforts in Iraq and are looking for individuals who are looking forward to contributing to our programmes through implementation, reporting, and programming activities. As a volunteer with Caritas Czech Republic in Iraq, you will have the opportunity to engage in various aspects of our programmes, playing a vital role in supporting our mission.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Caritas Czech Republic will cover the expenses for volunteers, including accommodation, transportation, insurance, pocket money etc. Additionally, Caritas Czech Republic will facilitate the visa and residence permit process for selected volunteers.

Training during the activity

Obtain hands-on experience in transitioning humanitarian and development work. Work closely with experienced professionals and experts in the sector. Enhance your skills in programme implementation, reporting, and programming. Contribute to positive change in the lives of vulnerable communities. Gain valuable networking opportunities with local and international organizations.

Participant profile

Demonstrated interest in humanitarian and development work. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in written and spoken English (knowledge of Arabic is an advantage). Good organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Flexibility and adaptability to work in a challenging and dynamic setting. Willingness to contribute to the development and well-being of local communities.
