Join us at Ananda Kalyani and practice your kitchen skills by helping cook delicious and healthy vegan meals according to the yogic sattvik diet for a community, as well as for events with inspiring people aligned with our values. You will be able to learn and co-create delicious recipes, learn to work in and as a team, adequately estimate quantities for large groups, competently plan the cooking process in order to serve the food at the scheduled meal times, plan and implement menus, set up beautiful and appealing eating tables, maintain safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen, contribute to a vibrant, harmonious and safe atmosphere, receive guidance and be open to learn and follow guidelines Dates and duration are flexible! *Note: applications should be in English Check our volunteering opportunities and other info here: https://anandakalyani.org/volunteers/
Zakwaterowanie, wyżywienie i transport
Volunteers will be provided accommodation in one of the community houses, sharing a room with one or more fellow volunteers. The rooms are equipped with the basic comforts such as a bed, sleeping bags, pillow, and light. If preferred, there is also the option to camp with a tent on the land in the warmer seasons. Food: a local team prepares the food for the community (lunch and dinner) according to the Sattvic diet. There is a self service policy for breakfast. Throughout the whole day there is a tea table with tea, coffee, and fruits. Rides will be provided if needed among the community.
Szkolenie w trakcie działania
As a volunteer, you will be mentored, coached and trained in your role from the concerning coordinator, through direct guidance and through learning by doing. Daily tasks will require your communication skills in English. At last, the nourishing and at the same time challenging surroundings invite you to grow and expand as a person, along with a healthy lifestyle and wellbeing tools.
Profil uczestnika
We are looking for someone who is passionate about healthy food and cooking, enjoys the process of serving others through nourishing meals, is equipped with experience, knowledge, and skills on cooking, or is eager to learn quickly, is comfortable cooking for a varying amount of people (ranging from 5 - 90), is ready to follow instructions and delegations in order to smoothly synergize within the Kitchen team, is flexible to perform different tasks, has a solution-oriented, assertive and reliable mindset, preferably is committed to long-term.
