Description

Develop and follow up AAH-SC communication plan; manage public image and public relations, social media; support the development of communication material, publications, press releases; train relevant staff on communication and visibility tools/protocols, work with them to capture AAH-SC work into communication/visibility materials, promote and implement AAH non-sexist communication guidelines in internal and external communication, work closely with HQ communications department to make the mission work visible. Support the implementation and improvement of Safeguarding Plan and policies, procedures and resources dissemination at Mission level. Support capacity strengthening initiatives in safeguarding for staff through the dissemination of internal online campus trainings and develop new training materials. Map, review and adapt Safeguarding referral system, ensure Staff & external partners understand reporting mechanisms. Communication and awareness on ESC Aid Volunteers Initiative.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accommodation, travel costs, visa, pre-deployment medical check + vaccinations (only if mandatory for the country), allowance will be covered. In case of need, a Fewer Opportunities Support will also be covered. A monthly Subsistence Lump Sum will be provided to cover basic needs such as food and personal hygiene items.

Training during the activity

Training during deployment will also be offered to improve the volunteer’s skills and competences.

Participant profile

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations or Communication. Excellent knowledge of English (C2); Russian considered. Excellent computer skills & a basic knowledge of graphic design software; excellent writing skills; result oriented, proactive, creative, communicative, and optimistic; good interpersonal, networking and communication skills; knowledge and experience of volunteerism; motivated to contribute towards development and serve others. Valuable prior experience in issues related to the promotion of gender equality or personal commitment to gender equality.
