Vestjyllands Højskole is a Folk Highschool that offers non-formal education for adults. Most students are between 18 and 26 years old. We have no academic requirements for admittance and there are no exams, but you get a diploma when you leave. Among our activities, we have dance, ecology, theatre, singing, music, ceramics, painting ,writing, and cooking on the schedule. We follow an environmentalist philosophy and we produce all the energy needed ourselves. We have a large ecological garden, which is maintained by local voluntaries. As a volunteer, you will be working in the garden, but in your spare time you will have the opportunity to take part in the above mentioned activities as well.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteer will live at the school The volunteer will receive pocket money. The pocket money will be 6 Euro/day in monthly payments
Training during the activity
There is an English-speaking mentor who is responsible for answering questions. The volunteer will receive an On-Arrival-Training at the beginning and a Mid-Term-Evaluation after half of their time.
