Fjord&Bælt is a research and outreach facility, that advocate the knowledge of marine life in Danish waters. At the facility, we have daily training and research of our three porpoises and three harbor seals. Our animals are located in the bay of Kerteminde, meaning their pool areas are located in the ocean. We work closely together with the Marine Biological Research Center located next to Fjord&Bælt. Here there are three male grey seals and one river otter. The trainer team at Fjord&Bælt consists of 4 trainers and one zookeeper student. Besides the trainers, we also have interns, both Danish and international speaking, meaning our daily communication is in English. In order to show our interns the Danish culture, we also make an effort to arrange social gatherings outside of work.

Volunteer should be interested in practical work. The role of the intern will be to help with the daily flow in the fish kitchen and participate in the feedings/training sessions of our animals. In the season where the center is open, it is also important to help give our guests a great experience, which means interacting with them, answering their questions and so on.
