Beschreibung
The day care centre "Krone" is located in the city centre of Karlsruhe. The centre offers a full-day childcare for 50 children from the age of 1 to 6. The kita promotes an active lifestyle, including in the program daily open air activities and sport projects. The volunteer will support the daily activities with the kids, art activities, sports, experimental activities, role playing, building and construction games. Depending on your own interests there's the possibility to support one of these topics with own workshops or ideas - and also to realize an own activity within this topic. A daily lunch and an afternoon snack are provided for the childran and also for the volunteers. You will have 5 weeks of holiday and 2 days free per week. Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
You will be accommodated in a big house with other 6 international ESC volunteers. You will share with them kitchen, a yard, 2 bathrooms and a living room, and you will experience a beautiful community life. You will have your room, plus the house has a little guest room. The accomodation costs are covered by the project. You will receive approx. 150 € pocket money and approx. 270 € for food every month. Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
You will take part to two seminars of 5 and 7 days each: these consist in trainings organized by the National Agency, and allow you to meet other ESC volunteers in Germany, share your experiences, learn and talk about the main concepts of the European Solidarity Corps. The meetings take place in different cities in Germany. You also have the possibility to attend a course to become a youth leader, a German language training of 6 weeks, a first aid, climbing and a life guard courses. all of these offers allow you to work with kids and youngsters during your voluntary service and in the future.
Teilnehmerprofil
• At least 18 years old • Interest in pedagogique work and sport • Interest in working with children in the age of 0-6 • Good knowledge of English (understanding, speaking, writing, reading), basic skills in German would be helpful but aren’t obligatory • You have an accredited sending organization (PIC number, accreditation number, name and contacts) • Open to get to know Germany and German culture and interested to live in another country for a year.
