German Vollunteering in a Youthproject

Beschreibung
The volunteers will mainly work on the "Penguin" project. In this project, they will travel together with social workers in a bus to the villages in the Nordhausen district. There they will offer inclusive play activities for the children and young people. They can also support us at school with German lessons and help children with difficulties. Another task will be to help with other projects and be active at festivals. They will also have the opportunity to implement their own project, which they can then try out at school or in our youth hostel.
Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
The volunteers will live in a shared flat with other volunteers from different countries. Everyone has their own room. Only the bathroom and kitchen are shared. There are good streetcar and bus connections in Nordhausen. Everything is also within walking distance. A bicycle is also available for each volunteer.
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
The volunteers will take part in the ESC-Trainings. The Arrival Training and the Midtermmeeting in Germany.
Teilnehmerprofil
We are looking for a volunteer who enjoys working with children and young people and already has experience in this field. They should also have good comprehension skills and be interested in the German language and culture. Living in a shared flat should not be a problem, nor should the cold weather in Germany. Due to the nature of the project, occasional weekend and evening work is not out of the question. Reliability and punctuality are very important to us.
