The 2024-2025 ESC project Learning League is a 12-month long ESC project which aims to intergrate and improve different forms of learning, equipping young people for the challenges of today’s world. The project will highlight Youth Goal 8 of “Quality Learning” as well as Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 4 which aims to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”. The objectives of the project is to promote the recognition of non-formal learning through various actions; enhance skills and competences relevant to lifelong learning; promote critical thinking, open-mindedness and intercultural dialogue; and to encourage youth participation.
Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
The accommodation is shared, mixed-gender accommodation located near the historic city centre of Nicosia. A monthly food allowance of 155€ are provided in addition to the daily allowance of 6€. Travel expences will be reimbursed to a maximum based on the EU distance calculator. (The starting point is your hometown. The ending point is Cyprus – Only LCA, PFO airports).
Formação durante a atividade
During the opportunity, the volunteers will have the chance to develop their competencies and skills through workshops and trainings (on-arrival, occasional, Midterm). The competences include Competences include the Multilingual and interpersonal competence, Citizenship competence, Entrepreneurship competence, Cultural awareness and expression competence, Digital competence, and Literacy competence. For the Greek language, access will be given to the EU Academy (former OLS).
Perfil do participante
We are looking for a group of young individuals (18-30 years old) motivated to learn and willing to collaborate with people with different cultures, religions, sexualities and backgrounds. As this is a long ESC project, volunteers should be willing to be in Cyprus for the duration of 12 months. Volunteers should be flexible and be able to work within a team.
