Description

Volunteering at Caritas Serbia offers a unique chance to contribute to promoting humanity, tolerance, solidarity, and respect for human dignity. Volunteers will engage in various tasks aimed at raising public awareness about critical issues such as mental health, natural disaster risk reduction, the importance of inclusion, and the challenges faced by various vulnerable groups. This opportunity is not just about giving back to the community but also about personal growth. Volunteers will work closely with Caritas Serbia's staff, developing skills in content creation, social media management, media relations, and business sector engagement. This experience promises a fulfilling daily routine where each task contributes to a larger goal of societal improvement and personal development. The volunteers would join Caritas Serbia PR and communication team during the working hours, assist in the preparation of various materials, and participate in public events.

The volunteers will be accommodated in the newly renovated apartment of the Archdiocese of Belgrade, next to the cathedral church and the pastoral center. The apartment is located in Vracar, a central area of Belgrade, and it is also close to the Caritas Serbia office, which can be reached by public transport. Caritas Serbia is planning to accommodate up to three volunteers at the same time, who would live together and have the freedom to prepare their own meals. Training during the activity

The volunteers will have the opportunity to participate and report about trainings organized within various projects of Caritas Serbia, regarding disaster risk reduction, accessible communication with persons with disability, safeguarding, etc.

Participant profile

Qualifications and skills: - Experience or strong interest in working in the field of public relations and fundraising, Organised, systematic, and responsible person - Knowledge of social media management, Skills in photography, content creation, social media management, using WordPress, and photo and video editing, English language Volunteers will have the opportunity to develop and enhance their skills, contribute to significant projects, and be part of a team that strives to improve community living conditions.
