We are a community school attended by children aged 6 to 11 years old. Our vision is to inspire and motivate children to explore and learn. Education takes place not only within the school building but also includes outdoor activities, educational excursions etc. The presence of a volunteer gives children the opportunity to gain new experiences and view the subject matter or life experiences from a different perspective, thus acquiring valuable life skills. Volunteer activities primarily include joining the teacher during lessons and helping to present the material, whether through prepared educational activities or personal experience. Additionally, the volunteer can organize various activities for children, such as art, physical activities, research, foreign language etc. The volunteer is also invited to participate in the school's regular outdoor excursions and cultural and educational events. Volunteer work is mainly carried out on weekdays during the morning hours.
Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
Accommodation will be provided in the family home of one of the employees or volunteers of ZŠ Lípa, in a separate room. There is shared kitchen, bathroom and also a garden belonging to the house. For volunteer will be a hot lunch at the school. Groceries can be bought in several small shops or supermarkets in the village. We will help the volunteer with the shopping if he/she is interested. Accommodation is within walking distance of the school, but carpooling is also possible.
Formação durante a atividade
The coordinator will see that the volunteer is registered for post-arrival and then mid-term training, and we will help them arrange transportation. The volunteer will be motivated to learn the Czech language. The children at school will be happy to help him with Czech language training. The volunteer can also take part in the training offered by the ESC programme.
Perfil do participante
The most important thing is a positive attitude towards children, a desire to get closer to their world and to share your knowledge and experience with them. Activity in any direction of the subjects taught and beneficial leisure activities is welcome, the volunteer's own enthusiasm and enjoyment of the activity is important, as this gives the children the opportunity to feel this joy too and motivates them to explore the area. At the ZŠ Lípa, regular lessons take place in nature, so a positive relationship to nature and a certain physical condition is a great advantage. We are looking for a volunteer for at least six months, ideally a year.
