Description
Somos Europa was founded with the aim of promoting opportunities for youth people from the countryside, fostering European Values, and improving language learning. Since the inception, has been characterized by the eagerness to work directly with young people, indeed more than 1.000 youth people have directly benefited from its programs through Erasmus+, European Solidarity Corps, National Funds, local activities, and much more.The main activities will be different along the implementation of the volunteering and it will depend also of the volunteer profile: - Helping to promote the main activity of our organization through public events, meetings, etc... - Create and develop activities for youth people in different topics like environmental culture, sports, healthy habits, cultural exchange, personal and professional development, soft skills, social work, etc.. -Collaborating activities in Padul village with different entities like municipality, tourism office, schools, etc..
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteer will have a single room in the house located in Padul (Granada), which will be shared with the rest of the volunteers of the organisation following the rules established by the entity. Each volunteer will have 200 euros of money for food and 6 euros per day as pocket money. In the case of activities outside Padul, the necessary bus fare will be covered. For the trip to Spain, it will depend on the distance from the city of origin and respecting the budget band given by the ESC programme.
Training during the activity
During the project all the volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about the local language (with OLS platform )and also other education such as non-formal trainings and dynamics to integrate them in a good way with the local community. For the implementation of each task, each activity, the volunteers will receive their own previous training or lessons to accomplish the knowledge or skill needed to reach the target using dynamics or digital competences learning with special improving in their soft skills.
Participant profile
We are looking for 2 volunteers with a clear responsibility of their decisions. People with the skill to adapt themselves to different stages, with a willingness and motivation to keep growing as person that try to improve everything that do. Self-confident, open minded and good vibes are requirements to collaborate with us in everything we do. The knowledge in ICT (Information and Communications Technologies) have very good impact in the main task they could develop in the work office. The task will be related with youth work in the different department of the organization.
