The project is in collaboration with the Association “I Ragazzi di San Lorenzo Bellizzi (IRSLB) an association that takes its name from the same country as the fundamental objectives are the safeguarding of the old and the development of the new of the territory. San Lorenzo is a small city located within the Pollino Park, where a large part of the economy depends on pensions, small businesses, restaurants and seasonal summer tourist jobs. It is also affected by a strong depopulation and therefore aging of the remaining population, like many villages in southern Italy. One of the goals of the prokect will be in fact the recovery of abandoned olive groves according to the principles of Agroforestry and syntropic agriculture and the enhancement of the ancient local arts.
Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
The volunteers will be housed in the Casa Parco structure, a multifunctional shelter with rooms and kitchen.
Teilnehmerprofil
Resistance to heat, ability to work and follow activities in a group. It is an international experience with participant coming from different european country. It is necessary to have at least a basic knowledge of the English language.
