CASA CARES is one of CSD - Diaconia Valdese's placements involved in the social and intercultural tourism. Casa Cares is a guest house and center for meetings near Florence, in the village of Reggello, surrounded by vineyards, olive orchards and woods, with particular attention to the care of the environment. The structure hosts groups, seminars and workshops. Traditionally, Casa Cares hosts volunteers who support the staff in the management of the facility (from home care to garden care), in networking with the territory, in social communication and marketing, implementing its potential. Each of them, depending on their aptitudes, abilities and interests, is invited to participate actively, also expressing personal proposals that can be developed within their own experience. During their stay, the volunteers learn the sense of care for the environment, the importance of group work and multiculturalism.
Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
The volunteer will share an independent flat with 5 other international volunteers, with single and doble rooms and shared common spaces and kitchen. Meals are provided and eaten at the centre’s lunch hall, and/or at the volunteers’ own apartment, with necessary foodstuffs provided to facilitate the volunteers’ independence. From the apartment it is possible to reach the volunteering placement by foot so there is no need to take any transport.
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
The volunteer will attend a training cycle including the on-arrival training, a mid-term seminar and an evaluation seminar offered by Diaconia Valdese. During this seminars he/she/they will have the possibility to meet all the volunteers hosted by Diaconia Valdese. In fact Diaconia Valdese has several project of international volunteering, all over Italy. Furthermore, as foreseen from ESC project, the volunteer will attend the seminars organized from the Italian National Agency.
Teilnehmerprofil
We look for 3 ESC volunteers, aged between 18 and 30 year old. The project does not require any special skills, expertise or previous experience. The volunteers have to be motivated, interested in the project, willing to challenge him/her/themself and get out of the comfort zone. The volunteers need to be ready to learn and start a process of change, be enthusiastic and willing to start a great new adventure.
