Beschreibung
Højboskolen is looking for 4 volunteers from different countries for a period of approximately 10-11 months, who would like to participate in the activities at our school and in the After-School Club. The volunteers’ job consist in participating in different classes, the school canteen and the After-School club. The volunteers will also be doing learning projects within sustainability, as well as and the School FabLab and also including making different events with the pupils. All volunteers will take part in the supervision of the pupils during breaks in order to contribute to a safe and playful environment. All volunteers will have their individual practical assignments. The volunteers will be affiliated with two to three year-groups participating in language classes as well as theoretical and practical subjects, where the volunteer will support the pupils individually or in smaller groups in their learning process, depending on the skills and competences of the volunteer.
Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
The volunteers will be accommodated close to Højboskolen in an apartment with a little garden together with other volunteers sharing the kitchen, bathroom, toilet and washing facilities. There will be lunch at School and diet-money provided for all other meals. In the city of Hørning, the Volunteers can get around on bike or on foot. If the volunteers want to go to e.g. Aarhus, the nearest large city, it is only a 10 minutes ride by train.
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
We provide Danish learning at the School of one our our teachers, and our N/A will provide On Arrival and Mid-term training. Age between 18-30. Experience working with children is positive but not a demand. The volunteer’s personal skills or interests will be taken into consideration and talked over at interviews and an individual time schedule will be made for each volunteer. Furthermore, all volunteers are expected to participate in learning Danish which is mandatory.
