Description
Maison Pour Tous Léo Lagrange is an organization which provides non formal education in urban area. The youth sector has 8 youth workers dedicated. 2 youth clubs are open 5/7 days after school. The MPTLL youth sector welcomes young people from 11 to 25 years old to support them in their needs, initiatives and projects. The volunteer will be in contact with teenagers every day through activities in youth clubs, projects, schools and local partner organizations. At the begining of ESC , the volunteer will spend time with each Youth Worker. The objectif is to open the minds of mind young people through activities and projects together. The volunteer will be involved in international activities for youth (hosting a Youth exchange in summer 2025 , ESC promotion). Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
You'll live in a Foyer des Jeunes Travailleurs not far away from the organization. You'll have your own private bedroom with a private bathroom and a fridge. You'll have access to the FJT restaurant (small prices) for your breakfasts and meals during the week. It’s also possible to cook and eat in the Maison Pour Tous kitchen. At the beginning of each month, you'll receive money for the groceries and pocket money, 480€ per month. You'll have free access to public transport thanks to a pass available during all your volunteering. The FJT is approximately 15 min away by bus from the organisation
Training during the activity
- Arrival and mid-term seminars are provided by the Erasmus French National Agency – French Lessons: learn French by taking part in french lessons provided by our french teacher with a group Participation to trainings with and for the youth workers team
Participant profile
You will need to be : - DYNAMIC since you’re in daily contact with teenagers and will have to propose activities and spend time with them in the youth club - CURIOUS to discover new things, new people and talk with the teenagers - CREATIVE to propose activities (always supported by a youth worker) - SOCIABLE to work in a team and with locals partner organisations - A minimum level of French would facilitate the work and communication.
