In Lomma municipality we have 2 youth creation centers for children between 10-12 years old in day time after school and 2 youth centers for the Youth at the age of 13-18 in the evenings. The activities at the youth centers span over all types of leisure activities and are variable. Since the activities at the youth center are based on the visitors’ interests we would like the volunteer to have an interest in sport, play and/or a cultural interest and to make activities with the youngsters in those possible areas. Lomma municipality youth department aim to start working with International youth work and we would like the volunteer to be an asset in implementing different kinds of international youth work such as sending volunteers and working with youth exchanges.

Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte

The volunteer will get food and pocket money according to the European Solidarity Corps funding rules. Accommodation is a room in shared apartment, within travelling distance from the youth center. The volunteer is responsible for the cleaning of the living facility. The volunteer will get a monthly ticket for the local public transport. You will get help to get acquainted with the local transport system and help to get around during the first period of time. To the most activities it´s walking distances and a bicycle will be provided for the volunteer during the time in Lomma.

Formação durante a atividade

There will be an On-Arrival training and one Mid-Term training arranged by the Swedish NA. The volunteer will also; - learn how to plan, implement and follow up projects - learn about Swedish youth work - take a Swedish course - develop english language skills - gain experience of working in an intercultural team - learn to improve work efficiency and time management - develop social, intercultural and personal skills with the help of the Youth Pass program. - use digital tools for advertisement and learn to work with blogs and document activities with photos.

Perfil do participante

Your age is between 25 and 30 years. You should be motivated, enthusiastic, and interested in learning new things. We are looking for a positive, outgoing, and approachable person who enjoys meeting new people and building relationships with young people. Strong social skills are essential, as you will be expected to motivate and encourage young people to participate in different kinds of group activities. You should find it easy to initiate conversations, create a welcoming atmosphere, and actively engage with youngsters from different backgrounds. You are able to speak, read, and write English. Together with the young people, you will plan, implement, and evaluate various discussions, workshops, and recreational activities. We would like you to support our international youth work by sharing your experiences and helping to provide information about the European Solidarity Corps and the European Union in classes at our high schools. Please note that because of the summer holiday period, we will probably not be conducting interviews between **1 July and 11 August**. We will continue to receive applications during this period and will contact candidates on an ongoing basis with updates regarding their application and the recruitment process. P
