Volunteering in project management speciality in education

Description
The volunteer will collaborate in supporting the formulation of development and educational projects for public and private entities, contributing innovative ideas and effective solutions to promote sustainable development and the well-being of families in Guatemala. Volunteering will be carried out: - Research and analysis of needs of local contexts. - Design and writing of project proposals - Collaboration in the identification of financing sources. - Participation in meetings and coordination with local actors and strategic partners. - Support in the preparation of reports and project monitoring.-
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The programme covers accommodation, food, travel to and from the project country, and travel related to the activity to be carried out by the volunteer in the host country. The programme will ensure decent, safe, healthy living conditions for the volunteers. Depending on the hosting organization and the local context, the volunteers will be accommodated in host families or apartments/houses near the workplace and close to all the facilities (water, food shops, etc.). In any case, the volunteers will have a safe and lockable room and an Internet connection in the accommodation and the office.
Training during the activity
The volunteers will receive support simultaneously from Alboan and ASEC, before, during and after their volunteering. During onsite deployment, the volunteers will receive training from a dedicated Security and Computer Science mentor. The mentor will follow the volunteers in their performances and support them to overcome their difficulties. Monthly interviews will be planned to follow up on their work. The volunteers will also be in permanent contact with their mentor from ALBOAN, who will visit them once during their deployment to assess their progress.
Participant profile
Preferable studies in Social Sciences, Communication, Business Administration or others Training in areas related to development, project management or evaluation. Experience in process and systems analysis. Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation tools and methodologies. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work autonomously and in a team. Commitment to humanitarian principles Gender knowledge will be valued Spanish Language
