Domu mia is a community hub located in Muravera, in the south of Sardinia, that supports the most vulnerable, promotes leadership and social inclusion spreading solidarity. In particular Domu Mia provides services for people with various social or physical troubles through volunteering and inclusion in all its activities. Domu mia is willing to welcome 2 volunteers for 12 months that will support Domu Mia community in different fields: Helping in daily lunch set up and in food related activities together with other volunteers; Giving assistance in filling up our stock’s shelves with food products and essential goods and preparing weekly solidarity bags that could contain clothes, shoes and home stuff; Helping in animation activities during special association events and regular local festivities; Gardening activities in Domu Mia gardens; Socializing through cultural and gastronomic events. Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
Food, accommodation, health insurance and pocket money are provided by the European Solidarity Corps Program. You will be accommodated in the volunteers' house, where you will have a single room. Main facilities are provided (fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, wifi). Bus tickets and bicycles will be available for free.
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
Volunteers will be involved in weekly coordination meetings together with Domu Mia staff to set up and to manage all ongoing activities, developing empathy, management competences, cooperation and organization skills. Moreover, volunteers will be engaged in Italian language studies.
Teilnehmerprofil
Domu Mia promotes European volunteering as personal and social growth and is looking for 2 young people ready and willing to bring new energy and ideas to the association. We expect availability, flexibility, curiosity, open-minded attitude and full personal engagement into the activities. In any case you should be able to work in a team with disabled or non-disabled persons including school pupils from alternation school programs. This project is for you if you are ready to be fully immersed in our daily routine, and to get better the common welfare here in our area.
