[FOR MORE INFO VISIT: https://www.organicseurope.bio/get-involved/work-with-us/] IFOAM Organics Europe is the membership umbrella organisation that represents the interests of the organic sector in front of European Institutions. Our office is in Brussels, as we work to push the European Commission and Parliament to make better agricultural and food policies. As ESC Volunteers, you will be given the unique opportunity to contribute to this objective and help us support the organic movement, in a way that will depend on the selected position. For the moment, we have open opportunities in the following units: -1 x Policy Unit Your experience will be enriched by trainings, regular exchanges with like-minded people and the possibility to spend 1/2 week in an organic farm in Belgium. You are required to commit for 35 hours/week from Monday to Friday. Work from home policy is also partly allowed.
Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
- 1 A/R travel cost to/from Brussels from/to the country of origin are covered with a lump sum depending on travel-distance - Brussels city pass will be provided to cover local public transport (bus, tram, metro). - IFOAM Organics Europe will provide one room per volunteer in a house shared with other young professionals located 20-30min walk from the office. - A monthly allowance is foreseen for reimbursement for food and living expenses
Formação durante a atividade
- Regular thematic trainings/masterclasses on organic and sustainable agriculture and EU affairs (eg. Organic regulation, pesticides, organic seeds, climate change, Eu Agricultural Policies, How advocacy works, Project Management, Communication...) - Practical Farming training during the farm stay (1/2 weeks) - On-arrival/midterm trainings provided by the National Agency and pre-departure/post-project trainings given by sending organisations.
