Unis-Cité is an association offering several team volunteering projects in culture, environment, solidarity, against the isolation of elderly… Our values and keywords are: team and diversity ! Diversity concerning age, gender, academic levels, residence areas… We believe that these team volunteering missions in diversity can bring the youth together around a same mission, letting all the social and personal clichés falling down and learning how to cooperate! In the city of Tours, Unis-Cité offers a volunteering mission for 5 European ESC, that will join a group of 19 young French volunteers! You can create and organise multiple pedagogical activities and workshops for children, teenagers, families, elderly, to raise awareness about environmental issues such as biodiversity protection, energy consumption, food waste… Your tutor will help you during the whole project, but you will also find autonomy and freedom in the creation of activities and workshops.
Διαμονή, διατροφή και έξοδα μετακίνησης
Accommodation: you will share a house in Tours with other volunteers, European and/or French. Local transport: you will get a local transport card which gives access to the bus and tramway. According to the daily rate determined by the CES Agency, the volunteer will receive 16€/day (pocket money and food allowance).
Κατάρτιση κατά τη δραστηριότητα
Each volunteer will participate to several trainings at the beginning of the volunteering experience. ESC volunteers will arrive in Tours in September, the French volunteers will arrive one month later. The 5 ESC volunteers will have time to get used to the city, language and culture. The project trainings will start as soon as the French volunteers arrive. The tutor, as well as the partners, can do the different trainings. All the trainings, the weekly meetings with the tutor, and the partners' meetings will be in French.
Προφίλ συμμετέχοντος
In the volunteers’ selection process there are no preferences regarding gender, academic levels or environment knowledge, beside your age: between 18 and 30 years old. We are just looking for someone who shares our values, is committed and interested in this ESC! A little knowledge of French or the willing to learn it is recommended since the ESC will take place in a French group. During your ESC, you will be supported by your Unis-Cité tutor and will take part in French classes. To apply just send some information about you on the platform, then a Zoom meeting will be organized.
