Drying Shed for Regenerative Agriculture

Beschreibung

Based at an ecovillage community farm, you'll learn how to build a drying shed in the two weeks and support the farm in harvesting vegetables for the community! The drying shed will be used to save seeds and your contribution enhances the farm's resilience. Come join the volunteering team - maybe you want to stay for the year afterwards...

Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten

Accommodation is in your own tents on the farm grounds. The Community Farm provides you with organic, local vegetables and we'll order wholefoods enough to keep you well fed. Everything in the village is within a 5 min walk, including a pharmacist, bookshop, cafe, and small supermarket. Compost toilet and shower are on the ground as well as normal toilets close by. Cooking facilities will also be arranged. Electricity access is limited.

Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit

Upon your arrival you'll receive a tour of the ground for orientation. Furthermore you'll learn what is needed for a good drying shed and how to build it.

Teilnehmerprofil

If you like to work in a team, being out camping and using your hands to build, this project is for you! Only apply if you’re interested in healthy food and local food systems, and you’re keen to learn practical skills to address the climate and biodiversity crisis while experiencing community life in an Ecovillage.
