The collaboration of CITAP(Berzosa foster home) as a host entity,together with the Parkeri NGO https://www.instagram.com/asociacionparkeri/ )as the coordinator NGO, we are looking for 2 volunteers, from July 2024 until June 2025. The main aim of the project is to improve quality of life and support the psycho social development for young people at social risk, some of them with mental health issues.Regardless of the different therapies carried out by various professionals, the leisure life of minors is focused on taking advantage of the natural resources of the environment, as well as the varied residential facilities. The project tasks include workshops on horticulture,animalcare (horses),masonry,carpentry,performing arts,sports to be developed with the beneficiaries and also the support on the daily life activities with the children and youngsters in the Berzosa foster home Other tasks are related with the care of the space (working in the farm and taking care of animals)

We are located in a very small village, Serrada de la Fuente, Madrid, Spain. Serrada de la Fuente is located one hour and a half by car from Madrid city center and 3 hours away by public transport. Serrada de la Fuente is a beautiful area in the mountains in Madrid, totally rural with 70 inhabitants ( https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serrada_de_la_Fuente ). Parkeri NGO will be in charge of accommodation (one house for you and other volunteers to live), for food and transport arrangements according to the European Solidarity Corps standards.
Formação durante a atividade
Parkeri NGO staff are experts on the European Solidarity Corps (trainers on the Programme since 2014), so constant support will be provided to the volunteers. Mandatory trainings, like On Arrival training and Mid Term Evaluation, will be developed according to the Spanish National Agency calendar. Learning support will be provided and Youthpass will be given at the end of the volunteers' projects. We will also offer the volunteers to participate in trainings connected with non-violent communication, sociocracy and other non-formal education trainings/activities.
Perfil do participante
Due to the nature of this volunteer project, in a rural area and that will work with young people in risk of exclusion and mental health issues, we need: - High motivation to accompany children and youngsters in their daily life activities with a caring and supportive approach - Person committed and mature to hold difficult situations - Negative certificate of sexual misdemeanors - Negative certificate of criminal/penal misdemeanors - High motivation to develop the project in a very isolated rural area in the mountains In Parkeri, we believe in INCLUSION, GENDER EQUITY, SOCIAL JUSTICE, SUSTAINABILITY and we have an ANTI-RACIST and DECREASING approach as organization principles.
