Our nursing home “Soziales Kompetenz-zentrum Rum” (SOKO Rum) takes care of seniors and dependent persons based on short- and long-termcare. For this purpose, the town of Rum has created our special housing complex that consists of 69 single rooms and 13 barrier-free rooms for the elderly. We try to support people during their daily routines, to make space for motivation and personal achievements and to create a respectful and homey atmosphere for this target group.
Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
Your accommodation will be in Rum (9500 residents), which is ten minutes away by bus from the city centre of Innsbruck, Tyrol. You will stay in a fully equipped room, 3rd floor, bathroom included, where towels, linen and cleaning products are offerd. A washing maschine is provided in the building of SOKO organization where you can eat as well. It is important to commit to the security rules of the accommodation. Costs for public transport and personal needs are provided (7 Euros pocket money daily).
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
Your Main Tasks: - to work in the building of SOKO where the elderly people live - to prepare and serve meals, cleaning dishes, collect laundry and supplies - support of inhabitants during their day to day activities - to participate in various group activities - to create and implement a personal project (with our professional support of course :-)) - to join regular team meetings - to participate on activities of the leading organization host called Cubic (where you will meet other volunteers)
Teilnehmerprofil
Profile: between 18 to 30 years Interested in elderly people, social interaction and empowerment of people who need support to manage their daily routines. Ability of communikation skills and to bond with people, stable personality who is not afraid to take responsibilty, open minded, creative and able to work in a team, also independently. Motivation to learn the german language and commitment for this project, which takes 11 month in total. Ability to work full-time. Please send (only complete) applications to Mrs. Mag.
