Democracy 2 is an ESC (European Solidarity Corps) project. The period of volunteer traineeships is of 3 month, in which the days spent in Romania represents the activities. The activities will take place between 01 May – 29 June 2025. Through this project, we wish to bring together a number of 5 volunteers Europe. DEMOCRACY 2 is a project that aims to encourage young people to take part in political and social fields such as youth participation in democratic life, support social and civic engagement and achievement of being active citizens. This project provides new tools to youths for learning, which are able to make young people gain social values and become active citizens. The aim of the project is to encourage young people and citizens from local communities in Romania, but also in rural areas from Europe to understand the active citizenship and the role of European institutions.
Διαμονή, διατροφή και έξοδα μετακίνησης
The participants will be accommodated in Ciorogârla and will be provided by a youth student’s dormitory with 2 bed placements in one room. Each participant will have at least 1 roommate. The participants may be placed in the same room with participants from other countries so that they will interact and bond with their fellow roommates. The division will be by gender. The bathrooms will be on the corridor and not in the rooms. Participants are asked to bring personal things such as hairdryer, towels, flip-flops. Volunteers will receive a cost of 300 euros/month for all monthly cost.
Κατάρτιση κατά τη δραστηριότητα
1. The morning session between 09.30 - 12.30: from Tuesday to Friday, the volunteers work with young people and high school teachers from Ilfov County with whom we have collaboration. On Monday morning, the volunteers are at the office, where they evaluate the weekly activity, together with the project coordinator, and set the activities for the following week's objectives. 2. The afternoon session between 14.00 - 16.00: a series of courses / activities are held in order to prepare volunteers on the following topics: media literacy, group communication and stage presence.
