Description
As a volunteer with ORIEL, you´ll be an essential part of our team, joining our local+international activities and developing competences on European fundings. Profile 1: In parallel, you´ll support LEGAMBIENTE VERONA in its local activities like green management, gardening, waste cleaning, and manual tasks. Activities include grass cutting, species selection, and clean-ups. You´ll take part in Legambiente initiatives like "Clean the World" and local events like scientific gatherings and environmental day participation, together with office tasks.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Oriel will pay housing expenses for the duration of the project. Volunteers will sleep in a shared double room with the same gender. The accommodation is in the city center of Verona. Volunteers will receive the Pocket money. The money will be sufficient to cover daily expenses (household expenses, food, personal expenses, etc.). - Total pocket money+food money=350€ Travel expenses are cover by European Solidarity Corps, being reimbursed after the volunteer travels. Training during the activity
The hosting organisation will be in the care of the volunteer during the whole duration of the ESC. The volunteers will receive an arrival/welcome training, and mentorship during the whole period. When the association is hosting European projects the volunteers might take part.
Participant profile
To be eligible for this opportunity, you should: Be between 18 and 30 years old. Be passionate about youth work, youth participation and international cooperation. Be open-minded, adaptable, flexible, and willing to engage with diverse communities. Have a working knowledge of English (additional language skills are a plus). Knowing little Italian represents an added value. FOR PROFILE 1: Be passionate about environmental justice and practices; be willing to do MANUAL tasks with gardening tools and, in general, to do manual/physical tasks with Oriel + Legambiente Verona.
