RED INTERNACIONAL B-LIVE

ASOCIACIÓN PATRIMONIO SANTOMERA

EL SISCAR- SANTOMERA, Spain

Description

The cultural non-profit association Patrimonio Santomera is composed of professionals from diverse scientific disciplines – History, Geography, Art History, Archaeology, Biology, Geology, Anthropology, Medicine, Librarianship, Computer Science, and other fields. Together, they work to preserve, research, and promote the rich cultural and natural heritage of the region of Murcia, Spain. The goal is to create an entity that unites two different approaches to the study of history and heritage: the scientific one and the informative one. We are looking for energetic young volunteers to join us in this mission! Possible Activities: - Guided excursions on exterior surroundings - Public events related to culture - Events connected to history and heritage in schools - Maintenance and organization of Archeological sites - Creation of web and social media content

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

It will all be managed by the coordinating organization, the association Red Internacional B-Live. In addition to the pocket money and food allowance, each volunteer will be provided with their own room in a shared flat with other volunteers. Said flat will be located in the city centre of Murcia, in order to facilitate all the displacements that the volunteer will have to do, not only project-related, but also for their day to day and to experience everything that the city offers. Also, they will have bikes at their disposal, to explore Murcia and its surroundings :)

Training during the activity

Volunteers will participate in an on-arrival training and mid-term evaluation, both organized by the Spanish National Agency. In addition, they will enroll in the Online Linguistic Platform and will be able to attend a Spanish course in the first weeks of their stay (30-40 hours of duration). All volunteers will participate in a monthly meeting with the coordinating entity, also each of them will have a supervisor within the hosting entity (to talk about schedule, personal projects, etc) and a mentor outside of the entity (to share ideas and problems, get to know the city, etc).

Participant profile

We will consider applications that show interest in the topics that the association deals with in our daily work. It will also be important that the volunteer is prepared to face their experience with the association with a curious and open spirit, getting involved both in the tasks, as well as giving feedback to the professionals of the entity, so that their learning needs can be fully met. We will respond in the best way to the volunteer's motivation and learning needs, without prerequisites regarding qualifications, educational level or specific experience.
