GAIN 2 - Games for Advancement and Inclusion
ASSOCIAZIONE LINK APS
Altamura, Ιταλία
Περιγραφή
GAIN 2 is the second edition of a volunteering team project aimed at building community games to enrich the Agorateca community library, located in the suburbs of Altamura. The Agorateca is a space managed by the Link association and was built to create a cultural stronghold and a space for community life in the outskirts of the city of Altamura, South Italy. The project will consist of manual work to build wooden games, conceived and designed by the participants themselves. The games will finally be presented to the local community at a closing event of the project. In this edition we expect volunteers to share traditional games from their own country to enrich the library and the hosting community and bring more international taste. This edition of GAIN will focus on the common elements of games in the Mediterranean area and their value in terms of education and relationships, as well as their ability to stimulate creativity and critical thinking.

Προφίλ συμμετέχοντος
We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about games, creative, and interested in contributing by bringing games from their own country to share with other volunteers and the Library's community. Manual skills, a collaborative spirit, and openness to diversity and dialogue are highly appreciated. Candidates who have already participated in long-term ESC projects are also eligible, but we recommend checking that they do not exceed the maximum allowed duration for volunteering projects by consulting the program guide or their sending organization. The project has a strong focus on inclusion and promotes the educational dimension of games.
