Responsible for the creation of a national communication plan, which gives visibility to MdM actions on the ground; Responsible for the follow-up of the national communication plan, its indicators and communication with the field teams for the implementation of the activities foreseen in the communication plan; Support the field teams by taking photos/videos of the activities carried out by MdM; Responsible for the creation of content for MdM social networks in El Salvador; Responsible for generating periodic reports on the reach of MdM's social networks in El Salvador and suggest improvements and/or new guidelines to reach a wider audience; Responsible for the creation of the layout of periodic reports of MdM projects in El Salvador; Responsible for the execution of a workshop with MdM staff in El Salvador focusing on communication in emergencies; Support the field teams in the design of visibility and educational materials for the projects.

Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte

Living conditions in El Salvador are comfortable. All basic services and recreational facilities are easily accessible. The volunteer will be accommodated in one of the houses identified by MdM and will receive a monthly subsistence allowance of 700EUR to cover his/her food expenses. Accommodation; return flights; visa and vaccination costs; health insurance; and basic equipment (laptops and telephone) will be provided and covered during deployment. Transportation and accommodation will also be provided and covered for all work-related travel. 

Formação durante a atividade

Volunteers will improve their professional knowledge through training in humanitarian action, and specific issues on security, gender, prevention of sexual exploitation, abuse and harrasment, and will be provided with training resources to continue their learning. Those selected will receive briefings/training at MdM headquarters in Madrid with the different departments related to the mission and the position before they start their field work.

Perfil do participante

The volunteer should have the following skills: - Professional with a degree in Communication, Graphic Design and related fields; - Knowledge of materials in International Cooperation, Development and related fields; - Previous experience in development cooperation and humanitarian aid projects is desirable; - Ability to work in a team; - Essential spoken and written Spanish, English desirable; - Desirable knowledge of the Latin American context, especially El Salvador and countries of the Mesoamerican region; - Graphic design and reporting skills, use of computer tools for the creation and editing of images and reports; - Knowledge of social media management; - Proven experience in taking photographs and videos, including the use of editing tools; - Competence in communication with communities and cross-cultural communication; - Experience in the analysis and synthesis of information, writing skills in the elaboration and presentation of documents.
