Cazalla Intercultural is looking for 3 ESC volunteers: 1 person needs to be resident in Spain and 2 should be coming from one of the countries that participate in the programme, for a long term volunteering project in Lorca. The duration of the project is 12 months and it can start in the month of (mid) February 2025. The project consists of collaboration with the NGO Cazalla Intercultural and its educational activities for young people and youth information work especially on the topics of European mobility and for the enforcement of human rights. The work involves supporting the team in project management, social media management, organising and implementing activities with youngsters, as well as preparing content to give visibility to scholarships and European mobility/volunteer offers. A dedicated time for personal projects of the volunteers is also included in the duration of the activity. Main topics: youth work, mobility, inclusion, equality, antiracism, community development.
Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
The volunteer will live in a shared flat with 3 other volunteers/trainees/young people; each one has a single room. The flat has a kitchen, a balcony, a living room and two bathrooms, wifi connection, plus is located at 5 minutes walking distance from the youth center. The pocket money in the amount of 6 euro per day will be paid monthly within the first 7 days of the month. The money for food in the amount of 150 euro per month will be paid together with the pocket money. Kitchen materials, blankets and bedsheets are available. Two bicycles are also available for volunteers.
Formação durante a atividade
Upon their arrival, volunteers will get to know their learning mentors and will be provided with information about activities to get to know places and people in the city and in the Murcia Region. The volunteers will also participate in an On Arrival Training and a Mid Term Evaluation during their volunteering activities. Volunteering is a great learning opportunity: volunteers in Cazalla Intercultural will participate in several trainings oriented to professional and personal development. We also organize dedicated mentoring sessions with professionals for people who need them.
Perfil do participante
18 - 30 years old Not having participated in any European Voluntary Service or long term European Solidarity Corps volunteering project. No records of sexual crime committed (compulsory to own a certificate in order to be able to work with minors in Spain) Availability for 12 months within the project dates Motivation for youth work, youth information, administrative work and community management. Basic Office pack. A good know how of TikTok, Instagram, Linkedin is an asset but not obbligatory. Spanish and English languages are common working language for us.
